• Job Offer : You need a valid job offer from a Canadian employer. In most cases, the employer must get a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), which is a document proving that hiring a foreign worker will not negatively impact the Canadian job market. However, some jobs are exempt from this requirement.
• Job Requirements: Ensure that you meet the qualifications for the job you’re applying for.

There are two main types of work permits: 

• Employer-specific work permit: You can only work for the employer who offered you the job. This is the most common type and requires an LMIA.
• Open work permit: This allows you to work for any employer in Canada and does not require an LMIA. Open work permits are usually issued to spouses of skilled workers or international students, or in special cases.

• Job Offer Letter: A letter from your Canadian employer confirming your job offer.
• LMIA (if required): If the job requires an LMIA, your employer must provide a copy of the LMIA approval.
• Proof of Identity: A valid passport, and any other documents requested (such as photos or application forms).
• Work Experience: Proof of your qualifications and work experience.
• Additional Documents: Depending on the specifics of your application, you might need additional documentation (e.g., police certificates, medical exams, etc.). 

• Work permit dura8on: Your work permit will be valid for the duration of your job, and you may be able to extend it if needed.
• Family members: Your spouse or common-law partner and dependent children may also be eligible to apply for permits to accompany you.
